Trekking and Abseiling in Chiang Mai, Thailand

Today Callie and I went abseiling or rappelling down the middle of a waterfall in Chiang Mai, Thailand. We went with Mountain Design. Our guide’s names was Otto.

We had to hike through the stream because there were cobras in the surrounding areas. Just to be safe. Of course. We did see a lot of other species that I’ve never seen before. I don’t know what to call them, but they’re pictured below.

We saw a green snake. We saw many different types of spiders. Only a few are pictured below. Some were really colorful. We saw many types of butterflies. Again, I could only get pictures of a few of them. We saw incredibly colored dragonflies. Again, I could only take pictures of a few of the ones I saw.

Then, of course, we rappelled down a 75 ft cliff ledge in the middle of a waterfall. That was fun. All in all, it was a pretty good day. The pictures are below.
